Michael Evanush 1920 Ontario

I'm looking for information on Michael Evanush, who was my great-grandfather. "Evanush" is the anglicized version of his surname; my grandmother believes his actual surname was "Evanushki", or something similar to that. I have absolutely no documentation on this person.

I understand he emigrated from Austria to Canada around 1910, originally settling in Winnipeg. He moved soon after to Groundhog River in Northeastern Ontario, marrying Clara McLeod (no date). He worked as a sectionman for Canadian National Railway (CNR), and also as a trapper.

He died in 1967 and is buried in Capreol, Ontario.

Any ideas? Help!

Thanks / Travis Fitzgerald
