great grandfather - Charles Evans (b.April 27, 1856, Deerfold, Wigmore) m. Sarah Lowe (b.August 15, 1854, Kinswinford, Stourbridge)
grandfather - William Henry Evans -(b. August 27, 1885, Handsworth, Birmingham, England
My grandfather William Henry Evans was a British Home Child, sent to Canada with his brother, Arthur John, Bet. 1897 - 1898. My gr. Uncle Arthur wrote to a cousin in Birmingham (I believe) named Lily Lowe until the time he died in 1954, South Berwick Maine, USA.. It is possible that they had a brother named Thomas who was living with his grandparents (Henry Lowe and Mary Dallow) at the time of the 1881 census. He may have been an illigitimate child of Sarah?
Does this family sound familiar to anyone? We know nothing of their family, or reasons for them being sent to Canada.
