Hi Richard,
I noticed a George W. Evans in the 1930 census in Flint Michigan. He was 58 and born about 1872. His wife was Ann H. He had a Courtland Evans,m 23 in the home and two borders. He was a cement worker in construction. Have you done a dna test with Family Tree DNA through the Evans family project? You may want to do this. I did and conntected with a George Evans in Ga. My Evans line is connected to Claiborne and Bell Co. I suspect with some digging we could have your connection. Do you have any birthdays, estimates, or additional family names to work with?
