Sharman and Donna,

I have been researching the families of Jeremiah Evans and John L. Evans for several years and have considerable information on their descendants. Although I have not been able to prove it, I believe Jeremiah Evans and John L. Evans were probably brothers who both migrated from Georgia. All of their descendants ended up in Tallapoosa County.

Jeremiah M. Evans and Elizabeth Lovelady had at least eight children that I am aware of. I show that Jeremiah M. Evans married Elizabeth Lovelady in Tallapoosa County on November 11, 1852.

I also have a Tallapoosa County marriage record for George W. Stewart and Luna L. Evans from October 2, 1892. The bondsman for their marriage was C. J. Robertson. He married Mary E. Evans on November 21, 1881 in Tallapoosa County...she was the daughter of of George Washington Evans, Jeremiah M. Evans' brother.

I am glad to share any information that I have with you and would gladly accept any research that you might have.

Thanks,

Carl Evans
