Would like to know if you have any info on the following families who descend from Robert Evans and wife, Elizabeth Jessop (daughter of Thomas Jessop and Janne Clare)...
BENJAMIN EVANS, son of Robert Evans and Elizabeth Jessop, married HANNAH LAMB in 1824, IL.
One of their children was NOAH EVANS, b.1828, West York, IL, died 1902, married MARTHA BELL on 7/27/1848, Clark Co., IL. (I think this Noah Evans would be brother to Nixon and Charles).
Child of NOAH EVANS and MARTHA BELL was CLINTON EVANS, born 1852, IL.
The 1880 Licking, Crawford County, Illinois lists the following:
EVANS, Clinton, b.1852, IL, age 28, Farmer
EVANS, Vina (nee Doolittle), wife, b.1854, IL, age 26
**Clinton Evans and Verna (Vina) Doolittle were married
12/30/1871, Crawford Co., IL.
EVANS, Caressell, son, b.1874, IL, age 6
EVANS, Eva, daughter, b.1876, IL, age 4
EVANS, Perry, son, b.1879, IL, age 1
DOOLITTLE, William, Brother In Law, b.1852, IL, age 28
DOOLITTLE, Edward, Brother In Law, b.1866, IL, age 14
CULP, Rosa (nee Doolittle), b.1859, IL, age 21
The above WILLIAM DOOLITTLE married MARTHA FRANCES McDANIEL on 4/30/1881, Hutsonville, Crawford Co., IL. This is where a part of my line connects...
I also have the following JESSOP's in my file and wonder if they are connected to Elizabeth...
JOSHUA JESSOP, born 1797, Perquimans, NC, married RACHEL EVANS.
PENINAH JESSOP, born about 1776, Perquimans, NC, married JOSEPH WILLARD on 11/23/1796, Perquimans, NC.
I also have RALSTON's in my files from Crawford Co., IL, who are connected to EVANS, WHEELER, BUCKNER, REYNOLDS, DIX and NIDEY.
Any help would be appreciated. I think we both have some of the same connections in Crawford and Clark Counties, Illinois. Would like to compare notes.
