Glad to help, Anita. The Leithold Book, "And This is Our Heritage" is a different book, same author. It was written a few years before the evans family genealogy book, and is a novel-length narrative, with a WEALTH of detail about the Evans Inn and family, the buildings, the people, etc. The only place I have found it is the New England Historical and Genealogical Society. They have a huge library, and will loan you the book by mail if you are a member. Costs $50-$100, and well worth it to get your hands on source information like this.
Any ideas on where I could get my hands on the books you mentioned?
I Would certainly like to keep in touch, especially if you are researching this family in this era. I am really trying to flesh this out also. Not sure how I would email you directly unless you post your email address, which you probably do not want to do.
