On legal a document from 1759 she was listed
as Mary Eva widow of Casper Hess. She is also listed as Mary Eva or Maria Eva wife of Phillip Peter. York Pa.
She was widowed between 1746 and 1752 when
she remarried.
For years every one thought it strange that her maiden name was not given. Being a legal document I think the answere may nbe that we had it all along
