Alexander Eudaly/Eudailey
I am trying to find any information on Alexander "Alec" Eudaley, a black man, who was working on a railroad and was killed because his sleeve got caught somehow.I was told that he was a mail baggage person who snatched the mail as the train was going by.I believe that this is how he was killed. This happened in 1902 somewhere in Ky.Can't find any proof or newspaper writings about this horrific accident. He was married to Janie (Catlett) who was my ggrandmother who was born in Ky. approx 1880-85 or close to it. Janie then married a "Champ Lambert" whom I am also looking for information on.I was told they moved to Lexington Ky where my grandmother, Mary Eudailey, was born and then Princeton Indiana where my mother was born. Any information would be greatly appreciated.I am at a deadend on my mother's side of the family. My mom passed away Nov 30 1 wk shy of her 84th birthday and never really knew who her father or father's family was.I realize that the Eudaley name could be spelled numerous way but does anyone know of any slaves in the family? e-mail [email protected]
