Newton was part of ENT Eubanks name....Elijah[Eliga]Newton Thadeus Eubanks.....Elijah for his paternal grandfather Elijah Eubanks born 1775.....and Thadeus was for his maternal grandfather Thadeus Owen born ca 1790....Newton or Newt was the name he actually was called....my grandmother Bessie "JO" Shelley lived with and close by ENT Eubanks and was his granddaughter....ENT died in the flu epidemic of 1918-19 when WW1 soldiers brought it back from Europe.....hope this helps.....I don`t info in front of me but believe ENT and Martha Terry are on the 1860 or 1870 census of Navarro county,Texas....its one or the other and if my memory is correct they may be living with her parents......ENT I believe is on the 1860 census for Walker county,Texas as a prison guard at HUNTSVILLE STATE PEN.....
