Thank you so much for the reply. Which son of Eulis' are you in touch with? My father, Amos O'Neal Flood, is Willie Flood's son. My father remembers Eulis and maybe his sons. Please ask him (or give me his e-mail or address or you give him my e-mail and I'll communicate directly with him)what he knows about Eulis's brother (half-brother? step-brother?)Willie and the circumstances of their being orphaned.
Who were my grandfather Willie's mother and father? I'm assuming Mary Eubanks was his mother (is this right?), but have no record of his father. I have sent for Willie Flood's birth and death certificates and hopefully I gave them enough info to get them. My father, Amos Flood, remembers hearing that Wilie's father may have lived in Spokane, WA, and was going to come see them sometime. To his knowledge, he never did.
Perhaps you or Eulis' son can tell me if any of the following statements have any meaning to you. My father remembers accompanying the body of a deceased man on a train to his funeral. The man may have been HP Eubanks, Willie's stepfather. There was also something in his story about the man having been beaten and also something in the story about a mental hospital.
