My g-g-grandfather was Henry Benton Eubank, who fought on the Confederate side during the Civil War, joining at the age of 14 Was taken prisoner and paroled in Richmond Va., where he apparently resided at the time. His father was John or James L. Eubank. He was the only child of his father (b. in Va.) and his mother, Martha or Lucy Banks, b. in Scotland). His father's second wife was named Fannie______and three daughters were born to them. One married A Valentine of Virginia. I think that Henry Benton's father was at one time the postmaster in Rockbridge Co., Va., but after the death of his first wife moved to Richmond. My g-g-grandfather came to Texas after the Civil War and his seocnd wife was Nellie Ward. They lived in northeast Texas, a small town called New Boston, which he helped to found. If anything sounds familiar, please contact me and I will be glad to share the information on all of Henry Benton's descendants. Martha Blackford
