Most of this is information that I have found on this and other similar geeology sites, I hope it helps some people. I would also like to ask that fellow researchers keep their e-maill addresses up to date. Much of the information is lost when adresses fail to work.

It starts with a John Rogers(John Rogers who left a will in Fairfield District, SC on June 14, 1790. He died there on August 9, 1790 ) , here is a copy of his will:

John Rogers’ will:
In State of south Carolina and Fairfield County in the name of God amen, I John of SC being sure of the abundant mercy and goodness of God though weak of body, yet of a sound and perfect understanding memories do make and constitute this my last will and testaments and desire it to be received by all of such: imprimis I moste humbly bequeath my Soul to God my maker beseeching his most gracious acceptance of it through the all sufficient merits and mediation of my most compassionate Redeemer, Jesus Christ, who Gave himself to be an atonement for My sins and is able to save to the uttermost, all that Come unto God by him seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them, and who I trust will not reject me, a returning, penitent sinner, when I render up my Soul with Comfort, humbly beseeching the most holy most wise and all sufficient God to prepare me for the time of my dissolution, and then to take me to himself into that peace and rest, and incomparable felicity, which he has prepared for those that love him, fear his holy name,Amen, blessed be God (----) item I give my Body to the Earth, from whence it was taken in full assurance of its resurrection from thence at the last Day; as for my burial, I desire of my dear wife my executors hereafter named whoI doubt not will manage it with all requisite prudence as to my word by estate I wille and positively order that all my lawful debts be paid and as for my land I desire it to be sold and all my other property at the discretion of my executors to be equally divided between my children; My son William, James, Joseph, Henry, Thomas, Richard, Frances, and Mary. 1)John Rogers (from the will above). Who was he married to (I wan't some proof!!!),

2)more about his children and grandchildren. I have names of children and grandchildren, but not much info about them. Any names and/or dates would be greatly apreciated.

3)Any info about this John Rogers. Who are his parents? Where did they come from? Brothers and Sisters???

Final notes:

Any speculation is welcome, however, please tell me if you do not have solid evidence to back it up. I will try to follow any leads.

Any contest to any information I have listed is also welcome. Please let me know if you think that I have wrong information. My feelings will not be hurt. I want to get to the bottom of MY Rogers line.

Thank you for taking the time to read this,
