I am honored that you felt my work was worthy of being included with yours in your Valentine Ettleman posting.
I found some new information on Valentine's daughter Elizabeth that is interesting. It is:
Their fourth child was ELIZABETH ETTLEMAN: She was born about 1766. She married BALTIS DESHONG. (The following was found in Rootsweb): "He was the son of Mattis Wilhelm Deshong, an immigrant from Germany. He (Mattis)likely arrived in Philadelphia in 1752/1753 with a group of Palatines from the German Palatinate region. They were French Hugenots of the Calvinist persuasion with the name des Champs who had lived around Mannheim, Germany after religious persecution was their lot in France. The French name des Champs sounded like Deshong to the Immigration officials."
Baltisí motherís name is unknown
Baltis was born about 1755 in Pennsylvania
