I too have been searching for the maiden name of Charity and have asked many people on Ancestry.com family trees to please provide me with a source. Adam and Charity were my ancestors. One of their sons, Joseph born 1819 married Frances Christopher and they were my great great grandparents. One of their children was Adam Christopher Whisenant and he married Clarisa Rebecca Jane O'Kelley and they were my great grandparents. Their daughter, Lillie Caroline Whisenant married Jason Lee Brown and one of their daughters was my mother, Johnnie Mae Brown who married Charlie Palmer.

Somewhere in my records I have a male Etris who married Barbara Whisenant born 1802. This might give some validity to Charity being an Etris because it was quite common to marry cousins back then. I have done extensive research on the Whisenant, Brown, and O'Kelley families and would enjoy sharing information.
