Jo,

We have a match!

My GG Grandfather was Jean-Baptiste (John B.) Etienne. He was born in 1812, actually in Florenville Belgium which may have been considered France depending upon who was winning the war! <G> He married Josephine Harbaville who was born in 1815.

Their son, Joseph Peter Etienne had married a Weaver and disappeared from our history. The family never knew what exactly happened to him, but we do have a letter that his father sent to him, glad to hear he was alright. Exactly when this letter was written can be found.

I have tried to contact other Etienne's in Texas to no avail. That would make sense if the family changed their name!!

Please contact me at:
c-etienne@glasscity.net We need to compare notes!

Chuck Etienne
