A possible lead in the Ethridge Family of Glies County TN

A few months ago, I posted a query regarding my Ethridge kin from Giles County, Tennessee.

I posted information about my dad, John O. Ethridge (1920-1998), his parents, Marcus E. Ethridge (1886-1966) and Manella King (1887-1938).

I have since changed e-mail addresses. The e-mail address on the old "Ethridge Family of Giles County TN" thread is no longer valid.

Since then, I have found some new information. Hopefully, this new information will put me on the right track.

The information comes from a hit I made on the internet. It comes from an archived copy of the Wilson County (Tenn.) News dated September 4, 1941 regarding an obituary of William Harvey Ethridge. William Harvey Ethridge died at the age of 66. One of the survivors it lists is "one brother, Marcus Eugene Ethridge of Pulaski".

I forwarded this information to one of my first cousins. He said that his dad remebered having some first cousins. So it is possible that this Marcus Eugene Ethridge of Pulaski is my grandfather.

If this turns out to be so, there is a big age gap of about 11 or 12 years between William Harvey Ethridge and my grandfather. Based on the information obituary regarding William Harvey Ethridge, he was born circa 1874-1875. My grandfather, as I have stated previously, was born in 1886.

Am I on the right track?
