My Etherton line can be traced back to Cocke Co., TN before 1830. I have visited Newport and surrounding countryside to see where my ancestors came from. From 1815 up until 1830 my Ethertons migrated to southern Illinois where I was born.
I'm looking for info on a Samuel Etherton in Cocke Co. area in the period 1790 - 1830. Other names in the family were James, William, Micajah, and Thomas.
