This is a name I got many years ago from someone who had access to hand written family records. She had difficulty making out the Hermond, so made an assumption. I have recently found HERMOUNT'S in PICKAWAY COUNTY, OHIO. Some of the EATHERTON'S were there during this time period. Can anyone connect HERMOUNT AND ETHERTON in FRANKLIN OR PICKAWAY, COUNTIES, OHIO in the early to mid 1800's or even back in Virginia in the late 18th century.
