Hi, Sanford! I hope you'll forgive the familiarity, but I've read so many of your postings tonight that I feel like I know you. My problem, and I hope you can help me, is that I am not an Etheridge and am doing this research for my grandchildren, who are. My daughter-in-law's mother, Johanna Clara Etheridge, is the daughter of Gaylon Thomas Etheridge of Dresden, Weakley, TN. He married a woman, Mildred Josephine Hazelman, from MI. Gaylon's parents were: Jim L. Etheridge of Weakley and Johnie E. Nabors, also of Weakley. I have found family members (no parents) for Johnie E., but cannot connect Jim L. to any of the Weakley County Etheridges. I think his father might have been Andrew Etheridge who I found in the 1880 census for Humphreys Co., TN. I'm not sure why I think he's the one, except I can't connect Jim to anyone else timewise. Jim was born about 1881 and so he missed the 1880 census, there is no 1890 census and I can't find him on the 1900 census. He appears again on the 1910 and 1920 but not on the 1930. I figure he and Johnie died between 1920 and 1930, because her sister, who was living with them in 1910 and 1920, in 1930 is living with another sister, Arlemia Wave (Nabors) Hendon. Can you help me? I would be eternally grateful, as would my daughter-in-law, her mother and my grandkids. :) Thanks. Lou
