Thomas Chambers Obituary found in Victorian photo album.
Reads: Thomas Chambers died at his home on East Street at 6:30 Monday morning after a long illness from cancer of the stomach. The funeral was held this morning a 10 o’clock.
Thomas Chambers was born March 12, 1838, in Lancashire, England, and came to America when about four years of age. He came to Wisconsin and made his home in Baraboo in 1856. January 11th, 1862, he was married to Miss Ann Etchels, who shared with him the joy, and toil and sorrow of life for 40 years and who survives him. He enlisted Nov. 15, 1861, in Co. F. 3d Wis., Cav. Vols. And served faithfully until Feb. 17, 1865, when he was discharged by reason of expiration of service.
The rest of obit rambles on giving little more info. Those interested in the entire obit can email me for a copy.
