I Know that Emma was born about 1843 and is the daughter of Nahtan Esworthy born about 1823 and his wife was Mary Elizabeth born about 1824. This came form the 1850 census and they were in Lancaster Co, Pennsylvania at that time. They had Emma, Ermanda (Brenda), Sarah (Susan), Elizabeth, and Mary Jane. I have the descendants of Elizabeth and Mary Jane.

Nathan died 8 Apr 1854 in Bainbridge, Lancaster Co, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth died 16 Jan 1894. Nathan's dad was also a Nahtan W Esworthy born between 1775 and 1794 and was listed in one census in Deleware Co. Pennsylvania. They also had five children. Thomas Alanzo, Margaret, Nathan, Susan R, and Harrietta. Of this family I only have the descendancy of Nahtan and Thomas.

Nathan was most likely the son of Nathan Esworhty-Esry and Margarett Middiltion and they had nine children. Nathan was born about 1756 and this brings up the question as to his correct parents. We know that James Essery born 1715 was in Chester and Deleware Co's of Pennsylvania and that he had four known sons, John, Jonathan, Joseph and Thomas, but there are possible other sons or James 1715 had a brother. At this time I think that Nathan is the son of Thomas the son of James 1715.

James 1715 was killed in a battle in Western Pennsylvania in July of 1755 so it is possible that Nathan is a son of this James. We do know that James Essery signed up in 1746 in Capt John Shannon's company of Pennsylvania Provincial Troops and he settled in Chester Co, Pennsylvania.

I have much more and if you want you can contact me at Dale

PS. If we have talked before please forgive me I have suffered several small strokes and my memory is not the best any more.
