Diane,
I'm afraid the book by Gay Bangs Esty is limited mainly to the first four generations of the Esty's in my original message. In other words Jeffrey Esty, his son Isaac, and Isaac's children and grandchildren. An occasional ggrandchild of Isaac is mentioned as well. Most birth dates are for the 1600s and 1700s (with half a dozen exceptions, none of which include a Mary Ann). If you have the name of Mary Ann's father, I might be of more help.
I have a relative out in the state of Washington that I can make inquiries of. She has done much more research on the Esty family than I have (in fact, she got me addicted to genealogy in the first place). If I come upon information on Mary Ann (Esty) Stratton, I'll let you know.
