Hello Julie,
Like you, I am not acquainted with any living Estys within the family. It is only about 4 years ago that I was introduced to genealogy and the Esty line by a distant relative in Washington (Beverly Aldrich) while at a Stevens family reunion in Seattle. She gave me alot of the information I have on the family, and in return, when I got back home to Illinois, I went to the Newberry Library in Chicago and got a copy of a book she needed for her research on the Estys.
Do you have a date or place of death for John and Mary (Dorman) Esty?Neither Beverly or I have that information. We do have John's birth as 2 Jan 1662 or 1663.His marriage to Mary was on 31 May 1688, though we don't have the location of the marriage.
I am descended from John's brother Joseph, so most of the Estys you list after John and Mary are new to me.I'll pass the information on to Beverly.
You indicate that most your Esty ancestors are buried in Middleton, MA.I might be grasping at straws, but do you have an Elijah and Mary (Ripley) Esty buried there. The last known address we have is Vermont, but I suppose it is possible they might have rejoined their relatives. Elijah was born in 1801 and Mary in 1805.
If you need any further information on the Esty family, feel free to contact me.If I don't have the info, maybe Beverly will.I don't have her email address on hand right now, or I'd include it in this message.I'll get that to you later. Thanks for the information.I'll contact you again later.
Gene
