Barbara, you've left out some rather vital information, without which nobody here will be able to assist you:

First and most important -- DATES! You gave no indication at all, none at all, as to WHEN your great-grandfather lived! When was he born? And when did he come to America?

Second -- and also very important -- you failed to supply your great-grandfather's full name! What was his FULL name?

And last but not least, what was his native language? Estonian or German? When it comes to the Baltic, that is a crucial piece of information!
