Charlene, I am glad to hear from another descendant of Samuel and Jane Estill.

You mentioned the Beeler (Bealor). Interestingly enough, I am researching a Dorsey Pentecost (who may or not be related to our Pentecosts) whose wife was Catharine Beeler.

The Estill's Dorsey and Catharine and her father Joseph Beeler were all living in Augusta County Va. Benjamine Estill (I think he was older brother of Samuel) was associated with East Augusta - Dorsey Pentecost was Commissioner of West Augusta, Virginia.

As the expansion went on, Dorsey and his group moved into South West Pennsylvania (then Va.) and The Estills went South to Boonesborough and were substantial in the settlement of that area. The Fort Estill was 3 miles south of Richmond Ky.

Catherine Pent4cost's father Joseph Beeler and Dorsey Pentecost were in Frederick County va. in the 1750.....I have copy of document where Joseph appoints Dorsey his attorney to collect debts in North and South Carolina. Joseph Beeler commanded Fort Cumberland (remember that is where George Washington began his military Career) though I don't know if Beeler's comand was over Washington at that time.

George Washington owned lands in Washington County Pennsylvania, and passed through the lands of Dorsey's sister Lucy and John Beckett to get to them.

I don't think the Pentecosts and Estills knew each other, but it is interesting that Samuel's great grandaughter Louona Doyle married a Pentecost in Carroll County Mississippi. It is the weaving of the tapestry that is interesting.
