I am wondering if anyone knows the outcome of the murder of my ancester, John Estill(DOB 1741), in Lewisburg Virginia(now W.Va.). I understand a man named James Stewart(Stuart?)was arrested, and went to trial in Richmond. Outcome? Reason for the murder? Anything?
