Andersons & Essons of Candacraig

I am posting this query hoping to reach Irene Esson (it relates to a RootsWeb thread of May 2000, which I just came across) or any other knowledgeable lister. Christian ANDERSON (identified in that thread as the "illegitimate dau of the 9th Laird" ... " [of] "Candacraig, Alexander ANDERSON" [and] "Jean FARQUHARSON of Invercauld") and Alexander ESSON (m.25 Mar 1797 at Millhead, Logie Coldstone, Aberdeenshire) were my g'g'g'grandparents.

Their daughter Margaret ESSON married (15 Oct 1845) Robert STARK, a millwright from Crail, Fifeshire, and the two of them settled in Barrhead, Neilston Parish, Renfrewshire. Their daughter Alice STARK married (15 Sep 1874) Hugh PURDIE, at the time a journeyman joiner, also born in Barrhead; they moved to Glasgow in the 1880's where my maternal grandfather Matthew PURDIE, a journeyman wood carver, was born. Matt married Maggie MACLEHOSE in Glasgow, they sailed to Quebec/Montreal in 1912, and the rest is history.

I'm interested in exchanging/discovering information on my Esson roots (Irene's research of 7 years ago appears quite extensive). A few questions I have... (1) Are there details available on the dates and locations of the births, deaths and burials of Alexander and Christian ESSON, as it appears to me that they both died well before the onset of the civil registration of deaths? (2) Regarding the siblings of Margaret ESSON (1810), would Irene or another lister know whether any of them (Alexander, the twins Isobel and Robert, John, Helen and Charles), died in infancy/childhood or emigrated from Scotland? (3) Regarding Alexander (Christian's father), "9th laird of Candacriag" and his will, does anyone know when and where he died? In an attempt to see a copy of his will, I downloaded a document ("Anderson Alexander 18/10/1830 residing in Mains of Logie... Testament... Aberdeen Sheriff Court") from Scotland's People, but it appears not to be the correct one (they also have an inventory for the same person). Finally, does anyone know the name of the laird's wife?
