NOTES: WK054 ESSEX-CONGDON-SHIPPEE LOT WARWICK POTOWOMET RD AT AUSTIN ->15 ft. W of tele. pole # 23
I have been to this lot (Sept. of 2002) where my Essex family is buried. The condition of the lot is not bad at all. It is very over grown with thick brush and briars, but the stones in this lot are in great conditon. There is a buetifull monument stone for the Congdon family.
Although I did not find all the stones because of the vine growth in the lot I will return to locate the rest of the stones that I believe is over grown with thicker brush.
More Info
There is a stone next to Corpes and it says J.T Essex 1821--- I think it is a stone for his son John but also make note that there is a second stone for his son John with date on it. Corpes did have a son named James but he was alive and mentioned in the will Of Corpes.
info on my James from Deeds
