I am Judy Schrader, and I would like information concerning Barbara Esser, wife of Peter Dreesen of Germany. These two are my g-g-g-grandparents. They sailed to the United States from Antwerp on the ship Belgique, arriving in New York on June 20, 1857. They settled in Dane County, Wisconsin, in a small town called Ashton, near the town of Cross Plains. The children who came with them were listed as Margaretha, 14, Carl,7, Franz,6, and an older son, Theodore, 23, and his wife, Agnes (Muxen)28, and their 5-month old daughter, Elizabeth. Theodore and Agnes are my g-g-grandparents. The mention of Barbara's name on the ship's record is all I have about her at this time. The Dreesens were located around the Rheidt, Germany area, so I assume Barbara came from that area as well. She would have been born about 1811. I would appreciate any information about her and her family line. Thank you.
