I was sort of on the right track in my earlier post but started over and am now on the right track. ::
Columbus "Lumm" Essary married Docia and had a son named Robert L. Essary. (1900-1920 Claiborne, TN Census's)
Columbus's dad was William Essary who married Mary. (1880 Claiborne Cnty, TN Census, for one) Columbus's dad William was the son of Joseph Essary who married Genetta? and Joseph's dad was William Henry Necessary from PA and Russell County, Va. I was on the wrong track with Thomas Jefferson being the direct line of the Robert Lee Essary I am researching. Robert Lee had a son named Robert Francis Essary (from Oklahoma) - and I am researching this for Robert Francis's grandson. Just wanted to set the record straight since I got it wrong on previous post.
