The Robert baptised 1809 came from Thorpe Malsor. He had 7 brothers and sisters. His father was Thomas Essam ad mother Frances Stanyon married 17.10.1796. Thomas had 6 brothers and sisters, he was bapt 20.2.1770 in Thorpe Malsor. Thomas' father was Hugh Essam of Pipewell(pronounced Pipwell) who married Suzanna Smith 29.11.1758. I have no parents for Hugh nor his date of bapt, however he and his 3 sisters were mentioned in the will of his uncle John in 1750. John was married to Martha Barlow. Also in John's will he mentions his brother William whose children are all baptised in Wilbarston.

All of this information is taken directly from parish registers and from original wills and I am able to prove every link.

If you do find definite links to all this, then we are related as that is my direct line too, my line coming from the brother of Robert. Also I have a whole load of further info if this is the case which, when I can find the time, I will be putting into book form.

Hope this is helpful. Good hunting.
