Ya'll should read Sarah Espy's diaries. You can find them online through the National Archives on usgenweb. They go from Aug. of 1859 through 1868 and are filled with daily life, lots of genealogical gleanings. A very interesting read. I came across them while searching for my family. I'm not connected. Wish that I were, though. I find your family fascinating. You're lucky to have a gem like this.
