Dear Terry & Linda,
Was interested to find you on the forum. I am researching my mother's family in Scotland. She was born Anna Espie, so I'm sure I'll come across the different spellings of the Espie name in my research and will keep you both informed. So far I can only get back to my great-grandfather Andrew T. Espie, from Glasgow. I would be interested in finding out about when the Espie's parted from the Gillespie's too. My 81 year old aunt tells me that Gillespie means "the Bishop's Gillie"(sp?)(Gillie being a servant). Where did you get the 3 vol. set Linda? It sounds interesting. By the way, I will be going over to Scotland in Aug., so maybe I can help you both track things down if there is something or somewhere specific. My e-mail at home is [email protected] as well as using this forum.
