Hello Ernesto. (que mas, ala!) I am a descendant of Sebastian de Eslava, but not directly, I come from the other branch of the family in Colombia. I am a direct descendant of Rafael de Eslava, Sebastian's brother and president of the Nueva Granada when royal governors were not the rule. I feel the obligation of informing you that Sebastian de Eslava was more important than Blas de Leso in the defense of Cartagena and that there is a very thorough article written by Alfredo Villamarín Eslava that analyzes thoroughly his role in this decisive victory over the cocky anglo-saxons(I don't know where it was published but I have a copy of it in my lap as I write this). I would appreciate it if you could supply me with some information concerning our family tree. Thanks.... ESLAVAS RULE!!!! (or ruled anyway)
