Elizabeth Eskridge, born on December 12, 1831 had an illegitamate son named William Ryder who is my husband's ggrandfather. Elizabeth and William came to Eau Claire, Wisconsin about 1870. She married a David Connor who had children by a first wife. David and Elizabeth moved to Connorsville, Wisconsin where he was the first post master and Connorsville was named after him. They moved to Washington, but William remained in Dunn County, Wisconsin. My information indicates she was born in Kokomo, Indiana, not Ohio, but do not know how accurate this data is.
