Orshelle, I have released a book this month about the Eskridges in Duck Hill, Roane County, TN, Edgefield CO. SC, and Westmoreland Co. Virginia. You might want to order a copy. Although my book is mainly a biography and family saga about the African American Eskridges, there is much, much info about the Eskridges descended from Colonel George Eskridge, particularly the family branch of Richard Edmund Eskridge (1775-1860) who moved to Duck Hill by 1834. My website is http://www.members.aol.com/myakeetree/ Send check or money order of $28.00 to PepperBird Books, 4515 N. Interstate, Suite 4, Portland, Oregon, 97217 or call 503-282-6696 and ask for me. I conducted several interviews on Colonel Eskridge's side and on my side of the family. I traveled to several State archives, courthouses, and places. The book also includes my interview with the great-great-granddaughter of Richard Eskridge who onced lived in Duck Hill.
