My grandmother was Virgie Escott Custer. I have some information about her family and brothers and sisters.
I have a few pictures of her and Uncle Tom. I could scan them for you if you need them, but, I figure you probably have them or some like them. I have had e-mail exchanges with the Shari Mock before. I started some looking into the Ecotts and Warfields awhile back but after hearing of an aunt who was trying to do a family tree, I felt like I should stop and give her what I had and let her work on that one. I am still getting her some information on occasion. I have a web site on MyFamily.com dedicated to the info that I have and would be happy to sign you up to view it if you're interested.Send me the e-mail address that you want to use and I'll put it in. It's free.
I'm going to be going to the McKeesport, Pa. area soon to look at some of my namesakes prior homes. Some lived there and some in Donora. I guess they ran a Butcher shop on Market St. some years ago. The last name was spelled Almasy back then. They were Hungarian. My mothers side of the family was from the Escotts. My grandmother was Virgie and my mother was her daughter Virginia.
Have a great day! Hope to hear from you soon.
Danny Almashy
