There were heaps of Escott families in the East of Devon, Eng. Bampton church records them back to the 1600. A lot of other church records probably have just as many. I look on family search will give you a fair idea of where there were concentrations of the family throughout Britain. I have been fortunate in making contact with a few very helpful fellow researchers in the area of my interest. Cheers Adrienne
