I believe that William, Arthur, John & Alexander 45+ are all the sons of Matthew Irwin. William, John & Alex (26-45) are Arthur's sons. I believe that James may be another of Arthur's sons but the age would be wrong. In 1800, James would have been 34 and had 4 children. James was later Clerk of Burke County Superior Court. I have no idea regarding the identity of Nancy
