Ernst Ertel, born around 1858, and his half brother, Fred Bruner (Brunner), came to the USA in the 1890s and settled in the greater Dayton Ohio area, Montgomery County.
Ernst's wife was Wilhelmina and Fred's wife was Barbara, all born in Germany.
It is possible that Ernst's family was from Alsace Loraine, now part of France, but then part of Germany. Family records say he was from Baden, Germany, which is east of the Alsace Loraine area.
I am interested in finding out more about Ernst's and Fred's parents, and any descendants of theirs.
