Just returned from Scotland and was interested to find your postings re: the Erskines in Renfrewshire. In and around Glasgow we were amazed at the multiple times we saw the name Erskine. Within minutes of leaving Glasgow Airport on our drive northwest we were directed to cross the Erskine Bridge. For those who are not familiar with the area, Renfrew is very near Glasgow and is a very historic area. Now my study of our Erskine ancestors will hone in there.....Alexander Erskine (Askins) in the farthest back we've been able to get. He was born "in Scotland" about 1720. Guess the search can now begin...... Any help will be greatly appreciated.
