GAry, after I received your message, I went and pulled everything that I had, and I have not found any of the family names that you mentioned, on either side of the Atlantic, the John Erskine I have is the Brother to one Thomas Erskine, both of which imigrated to this country, and then their third brother returned to Scotland. I do not know the other brothers name, but the entire family line that I am investigating seems to be tied into the line of The EARl Of Mar. This line is well known in the records, but the imigration to this country seems to have made the tie inns a little hazy. The line here in this country is tied in with the Perrin's, the DeWitt's, the Forney's, the Gee's, the Vaughn"s and the Wood's. I could not find any of the names other than the Erskine name in any of the records that I have.. If you are interested, I can e-mail you some of the information I have gotten.
