I have just started working on my husband's family. Thank you already for a middle name.
His great grandparents were Marion L. Erskine and Sarah Josephine ??. He was born 2.4.1880 at Newport, LA (no longer a town) and died 12-2-1972. My husband's grandparents were Edna Josephine Erskine and Thomas Cruse. Marion was the post master for Newport, LA in 1903. Part of the family spells there name Erskine and the other Erskin. I have no ideal where the difference some from. Look at Franklin Parish (Winnsboro) for the family. This is where our family lives. If I can be of any other help please let me know.
