My family is from Schoenecken-Wetteldorf in the Trier region of Germany. The surname is now spelled IRSFELD but I have found references to several family members in Germany with the spelling of ERSFELD. My names include:
Nicolaus Irsfeld b. 1734; N. Irsfeld b. 1863;
Peter Irsfeld b. 1757; Anna Catherine Ersfeld b. 1804; Lambertus Irsfeld b. 1810; Catherine Irsfeld b. 1847.

My family immigrated to Wisconsin in 1852.
