Not sure why your Browser won't close.
From what you said, it sounds like the sync process is still trying to run.
How many people in your File? How many Media Files are linked to your file?
If your computer is still 'Locked Up', then restart it.
Set the SynNow to Manual.
Then, Upload WITHOUT Linking.
Does that complete. This will create a new, unlinked, file.
