I am reading this series of posts with interest. Am I clear that those of us with damaged FTM files are to just set aside our carefully built databases (with massive images and support text) and go with the limited GEDs that contain only half the bytes of our "complete" FTM files? Surely FTM can support some programming labor to cull more than that from damaged FTM files considering that so many of us have been such heavy and reliable purchasers of your too-frequently up-dated software. Put some money back into the product, for HELPFUL things, and quit doing the narrow-focused things that tee off folks like the "Fred" who has itemized such a long list for you.
