I am the oldest (born in 1912) Ero living in the Netherlands actually. If anyone is interested in the Dutch connection of Ero families I can give you complete info. We think that our ancestors came from the Bask country (actually Spain, Pamplona area) where harpoonists went up north to help Dutch fishermen to catch whales. This was early 1700.
