Hi Alec! It is always nice to "meet" possible cousins.

Do you have any information at all to start from? A non-americanized name -- Erlandson vs Erlandsen, or an idea of about when they came over, a name or anything that will help you to find a starting place? I haven't had much luck from the Scandanavian side yet but there are some listings of passengers of ships coming into different ports which might help locate a city that they came from.

Where are you located? Where was your father born? He would know where his parents were born, or the information would be available on birth, marriage, death cert.

I will be happy to give you any help I can - like I said, I haven't had too much luck overseas yet -- but I haven't and won't give up!
