I am asking for assistance with an EMIBAS look up for Christina Adamsdotter who came to the US from Sweden on 12 June 1881, she was 23 yrs old at the time. Christina arrived on a ship named the “City of Montreal” according to the Castle Gardens records. I am trying to trace her birthplace in Sweden, family lore has it that she was born Gotland but I do not have confirmation of that fact.
Christina was my great grandmother who later married Albin Erickson in 1882. Albin and Christina had several children including George, Ruth, Mary, Emil Albin, Hazel and Mary. In addition, they had a cousin named Edith Erickson Rehnberg. As with many Ericksons, I found that the last name is spelled various ways within the records, which makes the research more difficult.
