I am looking for the identity of my husband's great-grandmother's first husband. Her name was Laura Nielson (spelled various ways), she was born in 1894 in St. Andrew, Walsh, North Dakota. She is found with her parents on 1910 census at age 16 in Minnesota. Then on 1920 census with new husband and daughter from the first marriage. The daughter's name was Violet Margaret Erickson, born 15 Sep 1912, in North Dakota. I don't know if they divorced, or if Mr. Erickson died. Laura remarried Ole Boen, lived in Minnesota, had six more children and died in 1933 two weeks after the birth of the youngest child. Violet was 21 when her mother died, and there was some kind of a falling out with her stepfather over personal belongings of her mother. What a sad tragic tale. But does this sound familiar to anyone?
